System Down, Clock Ticking, No Comp Engine... What Now? Call TeqTank.

What do you do when commissions are due Friday - for the first time ever - and it’s already Tuesday night... and you still don’t have a compensation engine, reporting tools, or a working back office?

You call TeqTank.

The Emergency Call

Late on a Tuesday evening, we got the call from Frequense, a company preparing for its first-ever commission payout. Their original software vendor had failed to deliver, leaving them in a crisis: no commission engine, no reporting, no integrated systems... and just two days left before commissions had to be in their distributors’ accounts.

Most tech companies would need 30–45 days to launch a fully functioning back office system from scratch.

We had 48 hours.

The Challenge

The ask was massive:

  • Build and launch a back office platform.

  • Integrate with Woo Commerce for incoming sales data.

  • Set up money-out processing for commission payments.

  • Document and program a compensation plan, which we hadn’t even seen until that night.

  • Deliver accurate commission calculations and reporting.

  • Get everything ready to pay commissions Friday morning.

The Solution

Speed and clarity became our North Star.

Step 1: Triage & Simplify

We immediately created a drop location and a clearly defined file format for incoming sales data, which we handed off to Frequense’s internal team to populate.

Step 2: Divide & Conquer

While their team was prepping the data, TeqTank's developers began:

  • Writing an import process for commissions.

  • Documenting the compensation plan in real-time as it was being explained.

  • Programming the commission logic on the fly.

  • Standing up a full-featured back office in parallel.

We didn’t have the luxury of a linear process. This was all happening simultaneously, with multiple teams working around the clock.

The Result

By Friday, commissions were paid accurately, distributors had access to a working back office, and the company was officially operational.

That weekend? No angry phone calls. Just progress.

Since then, Frequense has experienced steady, month-over-month growth, and TeqTank continues to support their back office infrastructure and commission operations.

TeqTank Doesn’t Flinch Under Pressure

Emergencies happen. Vendors fail. But when the success of your launch - or your reputation - is on the line, you need a tech partner that can deliver under pressure.

If you're facing a time crunch or a system meltdown, we’ve got you.

And let’s talk about how TeqTank can back you up... or bail you out.
